The Terrific Kids at Silver City Elementary School are recognized every month
with a party and activities for the boys. Join Dan White and the faculty
advisors for a fun afternoon. These kids really are "Terrific!"
This month, the kids made Spin Art framed cards and Frisbees. Check out
the Terrific Kids photo album for lots of pictures.
On March 20th, the Cub Scouts from Pack 39 will hold their annual
Pinewood Derby race at the Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church in Cumming.
Come out and watch the scouts compete with the Pinewood cars they
designed and built themselves.
Lora Pavlenko, President of the Kiwanis Club of Kiev, Ukraine,
will visit our club on Wednesday, March 10th. Lora, her husband, and
daughter spoke at our club approximately 2 years ago and gave a great
presentation on the works that her club does for the children of the
former Soviet Union country.
Plans are already underway for the 2010 Kids Fishing Event. Bill Couch will be
coordinating the event again this year, and our club will be serving in many
capacities, along with Key Club, Venture Crew, and Cub Scouts. More information
will come as we get closer to the September date.
The next Venturing Crew meeting is Wednesday, March 10th at 7:00pm at the
Kiwanis building.
